You are financially and emotionally linked to your home. In choosing to sell it on your own, you have concluded that you will net more money by doing so without hiring a real estate agent. And, you may be right! You can spend that money yourself—on the advertising necessary to alert buyers in Bellingham/Whatcom County to the availability of your home, and perhaps on the move itself. Before getting started, set aside your emotional attachment to your home as you consider how best to sell it.
