Utilities to Contact When You Prepare to Move

Your escrow agent will prorate any utility bills on your new property. However, it is always wise to contact these utilities to make sure they have your name on file for any future billings after you move in. Sellers do not take kindly to receiving bills after they have moved! And, you do not want to have service inexplicably cut off when you least expect it.
