I serve Bellingham/Whatcom County and nearby areas

Mt. ShuksanBellingham is our largest city. Western Washington University and Whatcom Community College as well as Bellingham Technical School are located here. The annual "Ski to Sea" festival in late May brings many out-of-towners to take part in the multi-event race that begins at Mt. Baker and ends at the shoreline in Fairhaven!

Ferndale lies 8 miles north of Bellingham. Most homes on the hill in Ferndale boast a spectacular view of Mt. Baker to the east. Blaine is the entrance to Canada. You may have seen the beautiful stone entry that signifies both countries as "Children of a Common Mother."

Nearby Birch Bay, Birch Bay Village (a gated community) and Semiahmoo (a gated, golf-course community) are north of Ferndale and just to the west of the city of Blaine. All are easily accessible via I-5. North of Bellingham and east of the I-5 corridor is Lynden, a picturesque community proud of its Dutch heritage. Many of the dairy farms in Whatcom County surround Lynden. Downtown Fairhaven

Smaller towns and hamlets include Sumas (near the Canadian border east of Lynden), and Everson, Maple Falls, Kendall, Nooksack, and Glacier on the way to the Mt. Baker ski area. Want to visit Alaska by ferry? Come to the Fairhaven terminal just south of downtown Bellingham. Many unique crafts stores and art galleries grace "Old Town Fairhaven."

Our county has many things to offer: we are near the protected Puget Sound, which connects with the Pacific Ocean via the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Many of the San Juan Islands in the Sound are visible to the west from several parts of the county. And, about an hour away lies 10,750 ft Mt. Baker, a mountain whose volcanic origins remain in evidence through the caves near the summit that continue to emit visible steam on clear days.

If you are looking for a livable city with numerous educational and cultural opportunities, a small town (you pick the size: we have them!), a rural area with pasture for your animals, lakefront property, a saltwater view, a gated community, one reserved for "active adults", or a forested glen in which to nestle a home, let me know!
