My Background Serves You
In addition to serving clients, I recently completed three years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Whatcom County Association of Realtors (WCAR). I have chaired the WCAR New Agent Orientation committee, another way I serve my colleagues and our profession. My colleagues awarded me Whatcom County Association of Realtors' Agent of the Quarter (2nd quarter of 2006 and 4th quarter of 2007), for which I am deeply honored.
Designations Obtained Other Professional Activity Away from the Office... Community Activity Our office is community-oriented. We have participated in the annual Ski-to-Sea parade. In 2007, our float won First Place in the Commercial Division, First Placeof the County Executive Award, and The Grand Sweepstakes First Prize! More importantly, we had great fun enjoying the crowds and camaraderie with the other float-makers, riders, and parade walkers. A special treat was waving to and receiving many"thumbs-up" from clients along the route! For the past two years, we have participated in the Keller Willliams Realty International RED Day (which stands for Renew, Energize, Donate) held every May 12, as we give back to the local community. Last year, we took on the landscaping of the entire grounds of the Bellingham Hospice House, providing more than 1,000 person hours to the project. This year, we are doing the same for Brigadoon, an organization that trains service dogs for persons with a variety of disabilities. My Professional Philosophy
I like helping people solve a real estate-related problem. The challenges my clients pose and our work together encourages and informs my own growth (both personal and professional); I am rewarded most completely when, throughout the transaction and especially at closing, we have a happy buyer and a happy seller. This goal is in keeping with the Keller Williams philosophy of "Win-Win or No Deal."
The Company with which I am affiliated From the following INDEPENDENT sources
a) The Real Trends 500 Report (published in May every year)
a. Keller Williams is #1 among the major franchises* represented in the USA for 2009 and 2010 by
i. Total number of associates
ii. Total sides sold per office
iii. Total number of brokers represented
b) JD Power and Associates awarded Keller Williams Highest Overall Satisfaction for Home Buyers and Sellers in their 2008 and 2009 Home Buyer/Seller Study
c) Entrepreneur Magazine ranked Keller Williams #1 in the Real Estate category in 2010
Growth in a recession can be difficult to achieve, and Keller Williams Realty was the ONLY major Real Estate franchise in the USA to have done so since the downturn of the market.
By comparison, between 2008 and 2009, Coldwell Banker declined by 12%; Re/Max declined by 18.1%, and Century 21 declined by 12.8%.
Why is this important? A franchise that is growing attracts and keeps the best agents, the most experienced agents, and the agents with whom buyers and sellers want to do business. If youre curious, feel free to ask me why I joined Keller Williams in 2001 and why I remain with the company.
*Among the top five, Coldwell Banker was #2, Re/Max International was #3, Century 21 was #4, Prudential was #5.
